THE STORY LA HISTORIA

This Is How Casa Niebla Began Así Nace Casa Niebla

Some of my most beautiful memories were made in the mountains of Valle del Cauca.

Many of them live in Pedacito de Cielo, my family's country home.

I loved waking up early and watching the sunrise from a rocking chair, looking out at the mountains still wrapped in mist. Bundled in a ruana against the morning chill, I'd hold a cup of coffee my grandmother had just brewed on the stove, its aroma mingling with the cool mountain air as the countryside slowly woke up around me.

Watching the misted mountains from the porch, coffee in hand

In front of me, the mist would gently lift from the mountains, slowly revealing the green landscape it had hidden through the early morning. As the first rays of sunlight appeared, everything seemed to come alive again, as if each day were beginning for the very first time.

To me, that was home.

Years later, living far from Colombia, I realized just how much those little moments meant to me. The aroma of coffee had the power to take me back—to the mountains, to my family, to misty mornings, and to that Pedacito de Cielo.

And that's how Casa Niebla was born.

From the desire to turn one of my most treasured memories into something I could share with you. A little piece of my home in every cup, so that coffee can be more than something we drink—it can be an experience that takes us somewhere, brings back a memory, or simply makes us feel at home.

Because sometimes, finding your way home can begin with something as simple as the aroma of a cup of coffee.

Hand-picking ripe coffee cherries above the valley

Grown in the mountains of Valle del Cauca Cultivado en las montañas del Valle del Cauca

Our coffee is born 1,650 metres above sea level. On these steep slopes, the constant mist shields the coffee plants from direct sun, letting the fruit ripen slowly and patiently. The result is a dense, high-altitude bean with deep sweetness and a singular aromatic profile.

From the mountain to your cup De la montaña a tu taza

What happens after the coffee is picked matters just as much as where it grows. Once the cherries are depulped, the beans are carefully fermented and washed with pure spring water. This process brings out the coffee's clarity, removing any fruity residue to create an exceptionally clean, balanced and sophisticated cup.
